Carrots grow on either side of the river and are most often found at the base of trees. Use the crystal to return to Dalaran. For each quest, you will be given a container that you must use to combine your ingredients in before handing it in to the appropriate NPC. All the quest finisher NPCs are in the city or in the sewers. If you keep Chilled Meats and Rhino Dogs in your bank, you will only need to leave Dalaran for the carrots, and then only briefly. Each of the advanced recipes costs 3 cooking awards. You get one award for all quests except Mustard Dogs! which rewards 2. Occasionally your Spice Bag will contain an extra award or a rare recipe. When buying recipes, choose ones which sell well first. Look for attack power, spell power, hit rating, haste etc because foods with these stats will sell well to raiders. Cuttlesteak for spirit and Mighty Rhino Dogs for MP5 also sell well to healers. Both Dragonfin recipes sell well to tanks/melee if you can also fish. This is just one strategy that you can use to make gold in WoW, but if you really want to hit the big time, you'll need a lot more than that.
